White, Gomie Ednie

Gomie Ednie White, 77, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at his home in Radford. He was retired from New River Industries and a United States Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his brother, Troy White; grandson, Andrew Cadle; and granddaughter, Ashley Nuckols. Survivors include his wife, Margie Thompson White; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Timmy Simpkins, of Christiansburg; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary Lee White, of Belspring, Bill and Edna White, of Roanoke, and Richard Wayne and Mary White, of Dublin; half brother, Arwood White, of Dublin; sister, Nancy Browning, of Dublin; six grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. Graveside Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2011, at the West View Cemetery in Radford with the Rev. James Walker officiating. VFW Post #776 will be conducting Graveside Military Rites. The family will receive friends at the Mullins Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. The White family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford, Va.
