Wheeling, Edith Darcas

Edith Darcas Wheeling, 78, of Christiansburg, Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Edith was born in Montgomery County, Va., on November 10, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lillie Richardson Wheeling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Mae Wheeling. She is survived by two sisters, Mary Ethel Wheeling, of Christiansburg, Va., and Kathleen Musselman, of Salem, Va.; a nephew, William Musselman, of Salem, Va.; and several great-nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 27, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Horne Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2010, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, Christiansburg, Va. Interment will follow in the Wheeling Family Cemetery at Den Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to help offset burial expenses. The Wheeling family is being served by Horne Funeral Service.
