Reverend Patrick Estil Wheeler, 76 of Bluefield, WV took his final journey, entering the streets of Heaven to be with his Lord and Savior on April 26, 2022. Born in Narrows, VA on June 7, 1945, he was a son of the late Charles and Dorothy Robertson Wheeler.

Rev. Wheeler loved spreading the gospel, and did so through being a shepherd and Pastor in Pentecostal Holiness Churches for over 55 years. He also impacted the future by driving school buses for Mercer County Public Schools.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory to their hearts are his wife, Jean Wheeler; daughters, Karen Cheeks (William) of Bluefield, WV; Leslie Vinson (Vance) of Bristol, TN, and Rebecca Barnette (Shawn) of Dickinson, North Dakota; grandchildren, Kaitlin Hubbert, Dakota Barnette, Darien Barnette, Lydia Vinson, Daniel Vinson, Jazlyn Barnette, and Josiah Barnette; a brother CF Wheeler (Joyce) of Kansas; and sister, Cheryl Shaeffer of Richmond, VA.

There will be a funeral service conducted on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 6:00 PM to honor Rev. Wheeler’s memory in the Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church in Narrows, VA with Pastors Tony Robertson and John Jenkins officiating. Family will receive friends at Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Funeral Services will conclude on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM with a graveside service at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV.
