Wheeler, Harry Allen

Harry Allen Wheeler, 70, of Crystal Lane at Narrows, departed this life Monday morning, March 12, 2007 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center at Radford.

Born in Giles County on June 10, 1936, he was a son of the late Terrell Egbert and Ethel Lee Wilburn Wheeler. He was retired from VDOT as superintendent.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Barbara Lafon Wheeler; a son, Rodney Allen Wheeler of Tampa, Florida; two daughters, Deborah Ann Dodge (Thomas) of Christiansburg, Kimberly Dawn Wheeler of Peterstown, W.Va.; a stepdaughter Janet Sadler (Randy) of Pearisburg; nine brothers and four sisters, Georgie Turner, Randal Wheeler, Bill Wheeler, Marie Conley, Curtis Wheeler, Perry Wheeler, Harold Wheeler, Shirley Parcell, Robert Wheeler, Danny Buckland, Virgil Wheeler, Carol Layman, Roger Wheeler; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in The Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with Pastor Eddie Kendall and Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Wheeler Cemetery near his home on Wolf Creek at Narrows.
