Wheeler, Dorothy Marie Peck

amem_songbirds.jpgDorothy Marie Peck Wheeler, 93 of Narrows, passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 2nd 2014. She was born in Peterstown, West Virginia, and was the daughter of the late James Lacy and Vivian Chambers Peck.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Edward Mason Wheeler; a son, Timothy Edward Wheeler; two sisters, Jewell Peck and Peggy Forrest; and a brother, Thomas Peck.

Dorothy loved caring for birds, crocheting and working crossword puzzles. She always thought Giles County was the most beautiful place on Earth.

Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Pamela Wheeler McWilliams and husband Kenneth of Narrows; three grandchildren, Hunter McWilliams and wife Katherine of Metairie, Louisiana, Elias McWilliams and wife Kristie of Columbia, Maryland, and Caitlin McWilliams and husband Brian of Mandan, North Dakota; and one great-granddaughter, Sylvia Lynn McWilliams.

The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service, Monday, December 8th, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 9th, 2014 at 2 PM at Fairview Cemetery in Narrows with Rev. Jason Stubblefield officiating.
