Charles Franklin Wheeler, 94 of the Wolf Creek community near Narrows, passed away Wednesday, December 26th, 2012 at Riverview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Rich Creek. He was born in Giles County on June 3rd, 1918, and was the son of the late Charles B. and Elizabeth Sheppard Wheeler.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by three wives, Dorothy Robertson Wheeler, Irene Warden Wheeler, and Margaret Neal Wheeler; one brother, and five sisters.

A retired employee of the Virginia Department of Transportation, he was a member of Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he served as Sunday School Superintendent for over 20 years.

He is survived by three children, C.F. Wheeler and wife Joyce of Overland Park, Kansas, Cheryl Schaffer of Richmond, and Patrick Wheeler and wife Jean of Narrows; nine grandchildren, Terri Wheeler Walker and husband Edward, Ann Wheeler, Charles Wheeler, III, Lynn Wheeler Cheeks and husband Dan, Leslie Wheeler Vinson and husband Vance, Rebecca Wheeler Barnette and husband Shawn, Christine Moskalski Garrett, Beverly Moskalski Ellis and husband Jay, Pamela Moskalski Gillespie and husband Louis, Jr., twenty great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren, several step-children; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

The family will receive friends at Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church Saturday, December 29th, 2012, from 6 to 8 PM, with funeral services at 8 PM with Rev. Tony Robertson and Rev. John Jenkins officiating. Burial will be held Sunday, December 30th at 2 PM at Ferrell Cemetery in the Wolf Creek community near Narrows.
