Wheeler, Anna Shrewsberry

Anna Florence Shrewsberry Wheeler, 68 of Narrows, Virginia departed this life May 1, 2023 in the care of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born October 29, 1954 she was a daughter of the late Charles and Gladys Harless Shrewsberry.

Anna was employed as a clerk with the Town of Rich Creek. She practiced her faith in attendance at Kathleen Memorial Church. Her solace was found if it could be in listening to George Strait and taking a ride. She would renew herself on trips to the Smoky Mountains.

In addition to her parents Anna is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gerald Wheeler “Jinks”; and brother, Arnold Shrewsberry.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are her sister, Alice Shrewsberry Lee (John) of Pearisburg; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a funeral service conducted on May 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Services will conclude in the Wheeler Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kendall Funeral Home. A guestbook is available to send condolences by visiting www.kendallfuneralhome.com.
