Wharton, Dorlisa Amburn

This is where Jane met her husband Phillip and her dream of having her own family began. Those who knew Jane, knew that her family meant everything to her.
Jane had a very giving and helping soul. She was affiliated with many associations during her time on this earth. She helped with the Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, the Methodist Church, UVA-Wise, J.J. Kelly Girls Basketball Teams, J.J. Kelly Band, Powell Valley Band, the Circle at Methodist Church, and countless other organizations.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Preston Amburn, Sr, and Mildred Mitchell Amburn and her brother, Frank Preston Amburn, Jr, (known as “Twink” by his high school bandmates).
Survivors include her husband, Phillip Wharton; son, Bryan Wharton and wife Misty Miller Wharton of Big Stone Gap, VA; daughter, Kristel Wharton Owenby and husband Doug Owenby of Maryville, TN; one granddaughter, Gabrielle Furches; four grandsons, Zachry Furches, Brayden, Camden, and Talen Wharton; two bonus grandsons, Bryce and Tyler Owenby; one bonus granddaughter, Kelsey Breanne Robbins and two bonus great-grandsons, Collin and Kannon; special niece (her brother Frankie’s daughter), Monica Amburn Kimbrell and husband Brandon of Spartanburg, SC; special nephew (her brother Frankie’s son), Evan Amburn of Atlanta, GA; several special nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and people who loved her.
