Westmoreland, Bessie Evelene

Bessie Evelene Westmoreland, 94, of Christiansburg, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Radford Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Hinton, W.Va., on October 14, 1917, to the late Mike and Louannie Reed Breen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. (Buster) Westmoreland; and a daughter, Leola W. Graham. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Graham, Christiansburg, Teresa and Steve Pettus, Christiansburg, Paul Graham, Blacksburg; four sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Jackie Westmoreland, Salem, Sonny and Nancy Westmoreland, Galax, Donnie and Sue Westmoreland, Christiansburg, Tommy Westmoreland, Christiansburg; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother and sisters-in-law, Billy and Janice Breen, Hinton, W.Va., Janet Breen, Ashland, Ky.; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m .Saturday, May 12, 2012, in the Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg, with the Rev. Dewey O. Weaver Jr. officiating.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Radford Health & Rehab Center.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
