Rev. Greta Hale Weldon, 79, of Christiansburg, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Rev. Greta Weldon was formerly the Pastor of Agape Outreach Ministry and was actively involved in ministry throughout the New River Valley. She formerly worked for the Department of Social Services and the Health Department. She was a member of New Mount Olive United Methodist Church in Radford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Franklin and Corine Anderson Hale; husband, Dr. William Garfield Weldon; daughter, Gretchen Deneen Neal; brother, Herbert Wayne Hale; and sister, Mary Lula White.

Survivors include her sons, David Wayne Neal and wife Vanessa of Alexandria and Derick Chris Neal of Christiansburg; daughters, Carolyn Neal-Price and husband W.E. of Reston and Lolita Hanes Dawson of Christiansburg; sister, Marilyn Annette Hale of Woodbridge; sister-in-law, Carol Jane Hale of Marion; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. with Rev. Barbara Doyle officiating. Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
