Welcher, Martha Faye Guynn

Martha Faye Guynn Welcher, 69, of Elliston, died Friday, March 15, 2013, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. She was born in Christiansburg on June 2, 1943 to the late Willie “Bill” Guynn and Fannie Norene Keffer Guynn McDaniel.

She was retired from Federal Mogul with 28 years of service.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, David Gene Welcher, of Elliston; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Virgil Ferguson of Troutville; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Belinda Welcher, Elliston; stepbrother, Steve and Kathy McDaniel, Elliston; grandchildren, Eddie and Jess Rigsby, of Shawsville, Loria and Leon Trail, of Salem, Brandi Welcher, of Elliston, Brandon and Ashley Welcher, of Elliston, and Paula Ferguson, of Troutville; five great-grandchildren, Ava Trail, Carter Rigsby, Grayson Welcher, Lilly Trail, Preston Welcher; very special friend, Lois “Boot” Lancaster, of Christiansburg, and all her close friends at Federal Mogul. She loved her beloved pets, Roco and Cocoa.

Special thanks to her doctors, nurses, and staff for their wonderful care.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery Co. Humane Society, P.O. Box 287 Blacksburg, VA. 24063. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
