Weikle, Eleanor “Ellie” Shawley

Eleanor “Ellie” Shawley Weikle, age 65, died Friday, May 16, at her home in Shawsville, VA. Born on January 16, 1949, she was born in Uniontown, PA, the daughter of the late John Shawley of Westmoreland, PA. Ellie was a well known glass expert in the antique/auction community.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 30 years, Darrell Weikle of Shawsville; and son, Robert Smith of Dublin.

Her husband and son would like to thank Dr. Robert Soloman, Dr. John White, Dr. Daniel A. Osimani & special thanks to Karanita M. Ojomo of Pulaski Radiation for their excellent care over the years. They would also like to thank all of their friends, family & their family in the antique community for all the love and concern expressed to her throughout the years.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 21 from 6 to 8 pm at Horne Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 22, at Horne Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
