Ronald Dean Weeks, 65, of Riner, Va., passed away on October 11, 2007. He was preceded by his parents Raymond and Vera Weeks and brother, Barry Weeks. He is survived by one nephew, Thomas (Tom) Weeks of Charlotte, N.C., two nieces, Amy Horne and Jennifer Duncan, both of Christiansburg; special friend and sister-in-law, Carolyn Hines and her husband, Gray, of Snowville; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Dean held a special place in the hearts of all of his family and many, many friends. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Arthur, Dr. Todd, Dr. Weaver, Dr. Patel and the staff at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, 7th Floor CCU for the loving care and attention Dean received over the years and in his last hours.

Dean’s family and friends are invited to gather at First Christian Church, 400 Tyler Road in Radford, Va. on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 1 p.m. followed by fellowship for the celebration of a life well lived.

With no thought of personal gain or praise, Dean rescued scores of desperate people drowning in the hell of alcoholism and drug addiction. The quiet, private manner in which he performed this service masked its magnitude, and remained hidden until many positively affected by his actions meet in grateful remembrance.

Arrangements are being handled by Horne Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Christiansburg. Online condolences may be sent to www.hornefuneralservice.com.
