Weddle, Darrel Wayne

Darrel Wayne “Smiley” Weddle, 62, of Radford, VA, departed this life on Tuesday morning, April 22, 2014 after a three year courageous, never complaining battle with multiple myeloma. Born July 26, 1951, he was preceded in death by his mother, Truelove Cox Weddle; and son Robert Andrew Weddle. He retired from New River Castings and was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved NASCAR, baseball and football. Smiley never met a stranger and was always helping others.

He leaves to cherish his memory, father, Joel Edwin Weddle; wife, Demita; daughter, Christie Weddle; son, Kiley Joyal and wife Samantha; grandchildren, Arianna Welch, Dylan Joyal, Kaitlynn Dunford, and Allison Weddle; sister, Wanda Marsoleck; niece, Missy Secrist and husband Tim; nephew, Eddie Gregory; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Billie Chrisley; as well as special friends, Johnny Webb and Kimberly Lawson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from noon until 3:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conduced at 3:00 with Pastor T. Michael Bond officiating.
