John David Webster, 64, of Elliston, went home to be with the Lord on July 20, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Thrash Webster and Ida Mae Vaden Webster; and his mother-in-law, Ora Mae Arnold. He is survived by his wife, Susan Webster; sons, David Webster and wife, Heather, Michael Webster and wife, Deborah, all of Elliston; brother, Wayne Webster and wife, Dianne, of Arlington; sister-in-law, Wanda Wilkerson and husband, Jeff, of Elliston; brother-in-law, L. E. Arnold, of Elliston; sister-in-law, Brenda Edwards, of Elliston; grandchildren, Ashley, Whitney, Megan, Jordan, Brooke, Haley, Lance, and Gabby; and stepmom, Fannie Mae Webster. David first worked at Tom’s, then worked at Koppers in Salem for 25 years. He also served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Moore’s Chapel Baptist Church in Elliston. He loved his grandchildren and family. He is loved by us and will never be forgotten. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 22, 2011, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at 1 p.m. at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Eddie Booth officiating.
