WEBSTER, Herby Walsey

Herby Walsey Webster, born March 16, 1928, departed this life March 18, 2006 at New River Valley Medical Center.

He was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County and is survived by his wife of 54 years, Theda C. Webster; a son, Jim Webster of Christiansburg; a sister, Dora W. Hunt, of Henderson, NC. Other survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Joy Compton, Kenny and Sidney Compton, Mary Compton, (all of Christiansburg,) Teddie and Dottie Willis of SC; special friends, Clarence Hall, Jean Bourne, Bill and Elaine Dobyns, Connie Compton and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Herby will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, including all the wild birds that he lovingly and faithfully fed and watered over many, many years.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Dr. Thomas Harvey with interment in the North Fork Cemetery, Ellett.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Shawsville Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 14, Shawsville, VA 24162.
