Webb, L. Stanley

L. Stanley Webb, 89, of Waynesboro, formerly of Christiansburg, died on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at Shenandoah Nursing Home, Fishersville.

He was born in Virginia on October 27, 1917 to the late James Albert and Mary Allen Webb. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Verda P. Webb; five brothers, Carl M. Webb, Roy Webb, Lewis Webb, Kermit Webb, and Ralph Webb.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Maxine W. and Alvin Synstad of Waynesboro; son and daughter-in-law, Gary L. and Denise Webb of Waynesboro; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Sylvia and Franklin Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
