Weaver, Virgil Steven

Virgil Steven Weaver, 67, of Tazewell, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007 at the Beulah House, Dublin.

Steven was born in Tazewell County and entered the United States Army after High School and while on leave met his wife Wanda Faye Nipper. They were married on September 28, 1961.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Roby and Ruby Helen Weaver and his in-laws, Harry Tucker and Beatrice Lucille Nipper. Steven worked as a machinist in the mining industry for most of his career with U.S. Steel & Eimco Coal Machinery. He retired five years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Wanda Faye Nipper Weaver, Pulaski; son , Russell Weaver and wife Amy, Princeton, West Virginia; daughters, Paige Weaver and Keith Yates, Pulaski, Kim Tiller and husband Tracy, Radford; grandchildren , Aaren Lindsey Tiller “Pole Cat”, Andrea Grace Tiller “Tater”, Alane Paige Tiller “Spike” , all of Radford; sisters, Rochelle Dickenson, Pulaski, Karen Nabors, Roanoke; brothers, Roger Weaver, Tazewell, Va., Rick Weaver, Riner, Va.

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Pastor Weston Gutherie officiating. Visit www.bowerfuneralhome.com to send online condolences.
