Howard W. Weaver unexpectedly left this earth to join his Lord and Savior on May 25th, 2022. Born in Dublin, Va. on August 23rd, 1934, Howard was a lifelong resident of the town.

He met his beloved wife, Margaret, in 1954. The two were married for 62 years, prior to her preceding him in death in December 2018. The blessing of death is the rejoining of those lost before us.

Howard was the proud father to two daughters, Beth Weaver Weber (Charlie) and Molly Weaver Nevitt and “adopted” daughter, Stephanie Bird Henthorn. He additionally welcomed the many friends of his girls into his home offering a boat ride to all, and grilling a hamburger for them. He attended many band and other school functions. He was a devoted family man, and was in attendance at Dublin United Methodist Church in the same spot every week, surrounded by those who loved him.

Professionally, Howard worked as a CPA for all his adult life after graduating from National Business College. He had his own practice for over 50 years, and worked side by side with his wife for most of those. He was a lifelong member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) and was honored at a ceremony in Richmond for this lifetime achievement in 2012. He was also a life member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

In the community, Howard was also a lifelong member of the Lions Club in Dublin, Va. He loved to make Lion Dogs as much as to eat them.

Howard was semi-retired and continued to work with a few special clients. He enjoyed spending time with his family and living at Claytor Lake. He enjoyed time at Myrtle Beach and always wanted a good seafood dinner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Emmet and Ruth Weaver; his wife of 62 years, Margaret Weaver; and infant Weaver.

Survivors include his daughter, Beth Weber (Charlie), and Molly Jo Nevitt; cousin, Jeanette Poole; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at the Dublin United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the Dublin United Methodist Church with Pastor Don Shelor officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dublin United Methodist Church, 424 E Main St, Dublin, VA 24084.

The Weaver family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford. www.mullinsfuneralhome.com.
