Weaver, David Elwood

David Elwood Weaver, 81, of Blacksburg, Virginia passed away on April 12, 2023. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Rita V. Weaver.

He leaves behind three children Michael Weaver (Helen Weaver), Mark Weaver, and Sarah Weaver, and grandchildren Bryce and Henry Weaver. He is also survived by his sister Alverda and his brother-in-law Gary Goldsmith, Sr., of Kane PA.

He was a two-time All America Trap-Shooter Champion, member of the Masons, enjoyed golf, hunting, and worked for Celanese in Narrows, Virginia before his retirement. He will live on in our hearts and minds and greatly missed.

A funeral mass will be held April 22nd, 2023 at 11:00 am at Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church (1205 Old Mill Road, Blacksburg, Virginia.) A reception will take place after the service at 1:00 PM. There will be no graveside service.
