Watson, Barbara (Page) (Tanaka)

Barbara (Page) (Tanaka) Watson passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, in Christiansburg, and has gone to be with our Lord. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clive Nathaniel Page and Jennie (Smith) (Page) Tunis; her brother, Don Lee Page; and stepfather, Thomas Rees Tunis. She is survived by her children, Anthony James Aragon, of Virginia Beach, Leela Marie (Watson) Rice and husband, Robbie Rice, of Christiansburg, Masahiro (Namo) Tanaka and wife, Valerie, of Cherry Hill, N.J., and Chiyomi Tanaka, of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Seth and Brooke Martin, Alisha and Katelyn Tanaka, Alexander Tanaka, Zachary and Sunshine Aragon; nephews and nieces, Cary Randall and wife, Angie Page, of Phoenix, Ariz., Kevin Page, of Dallas, Texas, Tracy Lynn (Page) and husband, James Goldstein of Austin, Texas, and Shawn (Page) and husband Michael Schupp, of Missouri. Ms. Watson was originally from El Paso, Texas. She lived in Cicero, Ill., until 1960, when she moved to California. Later she spent eight years in Tochigi-Ken, Japan returning in 1976. She spent a few years in Phoenix, Ariz., then moved with her children to Virginia, settling down in Christiansburg in 1984 until her death. No funeral services will be held. She has requested cremation and her ashes preserved at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum in Christiansburg. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
