Warf, Jr., James Warner

James Warner Warf, Jr., 59, of Lynchburg, died Wednesday, February 27, 2008. Mr. Warf was born February 7, 1949, in Pulaski, a son of the late James Warner Warf, Sr., and Sarah Moses Warf.

He served eight years in the U.S. Air Force including a tour in Vietnam. Following the war, he returned to Virginia where he worked for 20 years at a local conveyor-manufacturing firm as the Customer Service Manager.

He is survived by his son, James W. Warf, III, wife Brooke, and grandson, James W. Warf, IV, all of Edmond, OK. He is also survived by a brother, Roger Warf, his wife, Robin, of Pulaski; and his very special friends, Charlene Doss “Sis”, her husband, Gary, of Dublin, Debbie Reeves of Lynchburg, and Lou Toms of Bedford.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 2, 2008, from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, March 3, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in Oakwood Cemetery in Pulaski with the Rev. Thomas M. Crockett officiating. VFW Post 1184 will provide military honors.
