Robert Curtis Warden, 76 of Pearisburg departed this life to enter into his eternal rest February 1, 2021 after a long illness. Curtis was surrounded by his loving family and in the tender care of his hospice family. Born in Giles County on December 6, 1944, he is a son of George and Violet Hughes Warden.

Curtis was under contract as a tree surgeon for various companies along the east coast. Baptized in faith, he was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints-New River Valley Ward. He was a lover of all animals and children. In his spare time, he enjoyed all outdoor sports, but especially fishing.

Curtis is preceded in death by his parents; his sweetheart, Edna Conley Warden; brothers, Billy and Gene; and sisters, Kay, Bea, and Doani.

With their love of children, Curtis and Edna raised many children with which he leaves to cherish his memory to their hearts. The family would also like to thank and recognize his other family they have developed this past year, his Intrepid Hospice family who have all served as angels and his best friends as they have gone beyond what they imagined, truly showing what it is to serve in each role of hospice care to the Warden family.

As per Curtis’ wishes there will be no service.
