Ward, Cynthia Rotenberry

Cynthia Rotenberry Ward, 98, of Dublin, died early on Wednesday morning, March 7, 2012, at her daughter’s home in Pelham, Ala. She was born on January 1, 1914, in Grayson County, Va., and was the daughter of the late Ann Jones Rotenberry and Charles Edward Rotenberry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Robert Ward. She was a long-time member of the Dublin United Methodist Church; very active in the United Methodist Women; the Friendship Bible Class; the Cheerful Adults; and the Joy Ruby Cecil Circle. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Anne Ward, of Pelham, Ala. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and her wonderful neighbors, Jan Harris, Willard Akers and Tave Clark and her loving church family. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 12, 2012, at Dublin United Methodist Church with The Rev. Kathie Wilson-Parker, and Sue Thompson Hubble officiating. Interment will follow in Birchlawn Memorial Gardens in Pearisburg. Visiting will be held on Monday at the church from noon until the 2 p.m. service time.
