Heather Hammett Walters of Christiansburg, passed away unexpectedly on January 13, 2016. She was born on December 3, 1964, to Robert Frederick Hammett and Claudia Rae Cutler.

Heather is also survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Keith Alan Walters; and 18 year old son, Mitchell Alan Walters. She is also survived by her sister, Amy Hammett Bergman; half brother, Andrew Frederick Hammett; step-mother, Debra Marlene Hammett.

She was employed as a purchasing agent at FoxGuard Solution (formerly CCS Inc.) and previously was the international marketing supervisor for 18 years with Hubbell Lighting Inc.

Heather was a dedicated and enthusiastic supporter of the Christiansburg Blue Demon Athletics. Heather loved connecting with people and gardening as a master gardener. When she relaxed, you could find her in her hammock. Canada was and always will be her little piece of heaven on earth. Her quick wit and continuously helping hands will be forever missed.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 16, 2016, from 2-4 p.m. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 600 Prices Fork Road, Blacksburg, VA 24060. The Funeral Service will follow at 5 p.m., with Pastor Bill King officiating.
