Mr. Walters was preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Walters Sr.; and brother, William Walters. He is survived by the love of his life, Tina Costa; and their daughter Cara Costa; mother, Jane Walters; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lisa and Doug Connelly, and Heather and Joe King; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony and Becky Walters, Donnie and Traci Walters, John and Pat Walters; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Gardner Funeral home after 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2011, where the family will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2011, at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Graham Mitchell officiating. A Graveside Service will follow at 2 p.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society .
