Walls III, Charles Sebastian

Charles Sebastian Walls III, 74, of Blacksburg, Va., died on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at his home. He was born in Oceanside, N.Y., on October 15, 1934, to the late Charles Sebastian Jr. and Vera Gray Walls. Also preceding him in death was his sister, Frances Brayshaw. Mr. Walls was an active member of Harvest Baptist Church as well as a member of the New River Valley Master Gardener’s Association. He was also a retired truck driver and a member of Teamsters Local #707. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Arlene Dorcas Walls; two daughters and a son-in-law, Wendy M. and Chris Lovett, of Wauchula, Fla., and Miriam V. Walls, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sons and a daughterin-law, Charles S. IV and Donna Walls, of Williamsburg, and David J. Walls, of Blacksburg; nine grandchildren, Samuel Sheard, Elizabeth Scioscia, Sarah Sheard, Joshua Sheard, Jonathan D. Walls, Charles S. Walls V, Caleb R. Walls, Collin S. Walls, and Coleman S. Walls; a sister and brother-in-law, Eva and Gary Tuttle, of Loxahatchee, Fla.; and a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Carole Walls, of Warner, N.H. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2008, in the Harvest Baptist Church with Pastor Gene Ziesel officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
