Waller, James Withers

James Withers Waller, 73, of Blacksburg, Va., died on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at his home. He was born in Roanoke, Va., on May 7, 1935, to the late James A. Jr. and Nina Nelson Waller.

He graduated from VPI & SU with a BS as well as a MS from the University of North Carolina in library sciences. He was a member of the Widow’s Son Masonic Lodge #60 A.F. & A.M. of Charlottesville, Va.

He is survived by his brother, Thomas Nelson Waller, of Virginia Beach, Va.; a nephew, Thomas Nelson Waller Jr., of Montpelier, Va.; and a niece, Mary Allen Waller, of Montpelier, Va.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2009, in Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg, with Dr. Don McKinney officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg, Va.
