Wall, John Edwin

John Edwin Wall, 78, of Zephyrhills, Fla., and formerly of Blacksburg, Va., passed away on February 6, 2008.

He previously resided in Jacksonville , Fla., for 43 years. He was born and raised in Blacksburg, Va., and was a graduate of Virginia Tech (1953). He was a member of the ROTC at Virginia Tech and earned two bronze stars in the Korean War.

He was the son of the late James Bell and Gertrude Perdue Wall, both of Blacksburg. He is predeceased by his three brothers, Robert E. Argabrite, Henry Reid Wall and his twin brother, James Bell Wall Jr.; and his infant daughter, Elizabeth Ruth Wall.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Howard Wall; and his four children, Laurie Anne Wall, of Sudbury, Mass., John Charles Wall and his wife, Dawn; and their children, John Michael and Ryan Christopher, of Land O’ Lakes, Fla., Sharon Wall Stratton and her husband, Rick, of Birmingham, Ala.; and their children, Richard and Sarah Stratton Norman, Susan Wall Skramstad and her husband, Erik, of Sudbury, Mass.; and their children, Leif, Alex and Jack. He is also survived by his nephews, Wesley Argabrite, of Charlotte , N.C., and Robert Reid Wall, of Dixie, Miss.; and his niece, Dr. LaNelle Wall, of Palatka, Fla.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February, 14, 2008, at the Harvester United Methodist Church, 2432 Collier Parkway, Land O’ Lakes, Fla. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hernando Pasco Hospice, 37439 Clinton Avenue, Dade City, Fla. 33525.
