Leona Midkiff Walker age 95 of Rich Creek, VA passed away Friday, March 23, 2012 at Sebring, FL. Born May 28, 1916 at Greenbrier County, WV she was the daughter of the late William and Ona Simpson Midkiff.

Leona was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Rich Creek, VA and was a member of the United Methodist Women’s Association.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bradford A. Walker and one brother James Midkiff. Survivors include one daughter, Juanita Elmore and husband Bill of Sebring, FL, two grandsons, Michael Elmore and wife Linda of St. Louis, MO and Clark Elmore of Chicago, IL, two great grandchildren, Amber and Nicholas Elmore of Chicago, IL and four nephews.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church, Rich Creek, VA with Pastor Doug Hyndrich and Rev. Aubrey Whitlow officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Rich Creek, VA. Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown, WV and one hour prior to the services at the church.
