Walker Jr., Oliver

Mr. Oliver Walker, Jr., 76, of Dublin, Va., widower of Annie Mae Williams Walker, departed this life on Sunday, October 7, 2007.

He is survived by his children, Stredrick (Mary) Walker of Palmetto, Ga., Olivia Walker, Richmond, Va., Christopher Walker, New York City, and Caretta Walker-Jones (Michael), Midlothian, Va.; five grandsons, Leonard, Stredrick, Jr., Cameron, Walker, and Najee; one great-grandson, Nathaniel; one brother, Alphonso Walker, New River, Va.; two sisters, Edna Allen, Dublin, Va., and Geraldine Walker, Philadelphia, Pa.; an aunt, Frances Brockenbough of Pittsburg.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 1 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, New River, Virginia with the Reverend Ronald Brown officiating. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, Va.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, October 10, 2007 from 7 until 8 p.m. at Penn’s Funeral Home, Pulaski Virginia. Penn’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
