Vyule, Vivian Allean Barker

Vivian Allean Barker Vyule, 78, of Christiansburg, passed away Monday, May 26, 2008, at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

She was born in Montgomery County, Va., on October 6, 1929, to the late Charlie Essie and Gracie Wade Barker. She retired from Virginia Tech Facilities in 1995 after fourteen years of service.

She is survived by two daughters and sonin-law, Patricia Ann Adams of Buchanan, Tenn., and Melba and Kelcie Edwards, of Shawsville; three grandchildren, Thomas Michael Amos and wife, Stacey, of Roanoke, Donald Richard Schoenemann Jr. and Angela Irene Adams, of Buchanan, Tenn.; special nephew, John Barker and wife, Peggy, of Rocky Mount; and many other nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nurses, aides and staff of Heritage Hall and the Kroontje Health Care Center for the loving care, friendship and support that she received.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg, Va. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2008, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Peters officiating. Interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
