Vines, Shirley Jean Roe

Shirley Jean Roe Vines, 79, of Christiansburg, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas and Pearl Lee Roe; and her sister, Penny Henry.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Ray Lawrence Vines Sr.; children, Joni Vines-Dadras and Jalal, Toni Vines-Jones and Earl, Ray Lawrence ‘Larry’ Vines Jr. and Jamie, Sarge Vines and Jennifer; grandchildren, Juliet Dadras, Jamie Dadras-Alderman and Austin, Jasmine Dadras, Ashley Jones and Hillary Lambert, Austin Jones and Chelsey, Alex Vines, Joshua Hanson, Jesseca Cagle, Jordan Vines, and Robie Vines; great-grandchildren, Jaden Dadras, Xander Vines, Madelyn Alderman, Ella Hanson, Gracelyn Hanson; sisters, Joyce Besase and husband Tony, Jane Hallmark; and brother, Tommy Roe.

Mom had the biggest heart and no matter how much or how little her and Dad had, they shared with anyone in need. The love of her life was Dad, completely devoted to him even up to her passing. They never passed each other or were in the same room without telling the other how much they loved them. Mom was honest – you always knew where you stood with her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmom, and sister. There will always be a void but we know you are happy and well Mom!

The family would like to thank Mom’s caregiver, Britney Hester for being there for her every day.
