Betty Jones Vincil, 85 of the Clendennin Community in Narrows, VA passed away peacefully on December 2, 2022 in the care of Lewis Gale Medical Center-Montgomery. Born in Montgomery County on September 18, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Annie Bradford Jones.

Betty loved God and her family. She showed it by reading the Bible and by her membership at the Bethel Chapel in Clendennin, Betty took pride in everything she touched including her home, flowers, yard, or in the support she provided to her loving family.

Betty retired from Virginia Tech after 20+ years of dedicated service to the university she loved. She was respected and loved by her co-workers as well as the many many students who considered her their second mom.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her brothers, Aubrey “Jack” Jones, Irvin Jones, James “Willie” Jones, and Minor Jones; sisters, Dorothy Noonan, and Rachel Allen; as well as her long-time love and companion Memphus Kast.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are sons, Aubrey Boothe (Lisa) of Narrows, and Cody Vincil (Wanda) of Blacksburg; daughter, Tammy Kast of Blacksburg; step-daughter, Linda Whitfield (Dan) of Ohio; grandchildren, Cole Boothe (Bridget), Savannah Gravely (Chris), Raelynn Grace, Brandon Kast (Desi), and Brandi Van Schoyck (Aubrey) great-grandchildren, Hayden Webb, Hailey Van Schoyck, Madison West, Levi Boothe, Trinity Robbins, and Eli Van Schoyck. Betty also leaves behind her beloved brother Kelly Jones of Christiansburg, VA and many precious nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke, VA on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating.
