Via, Rebecca Reed

Rebecca Lou Via, age 79, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020, at the Mercer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bluefield, WV. Born September 4, 1940, in Glen Lyn, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Lacy and Virginia L. Robertson Reed.

Rebecca was a member of the Willowton Christian Church. She graduated from Oakvale High School in 1958 and was a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Dean Via. Survivors include one daughter, Rhonda Gail Via of Willowton, WV; two sons, Warren Victor Via of Radford, VA, and Christopher Brice Via and wife Laura of Willowton, WV; three brothers, Danny Reed of Peterstown, WV, Michael Reed of Princeton, WV, and Bill Reed of Willowton, WV; and three granddaughters, Jordan Nichole Via, Mackenzie Leigh Via, and Molly Elizabeth Via.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 13, 2020, at the Willowton Christian Church with Preacher Mike Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at the Willowton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, and one hour prior to the services on Friday at the church.
