Vest, Pauline Hooker

Pauline Hooker Vest, 82, of the White Gate community, Pearisburg, VA went to be with the Lord Monday, December 21, 2015 at her home. She was born December 5, 1933 in Bland County, the daughter of the late Roy Jennings & Beatrice Vencil Hooker.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Vest Horn and a grandson, James Bradley Perdue.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 59 years, Nelson L. Vest; a son & daughter-in-law, Jackie & Debbie Vest; son-in-law, Jerry Horn; grandchildren & spouses, Leslie & Eric Sharp and Kelley & Brian Neal, Miranda Houck & Tara Clark; great-grandchildren, Lainy & Easton, Jordan, Emmanuel, Brantley & Lakin; brother & sister-in-law, Roy Jr. & Betty Hooker; sisters & brothers-in-law, Juanita & Keith McGuire and Olena & Jack Cunningham; special niece, Cindy McGuire; several nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and other relatives, too many to list.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate, with Rev. Danny Shortridge officiating. Burial will follow in the Stinson Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
