Vest Jr., John E.

John E. (Buddy) Vest, Jr., 88, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2008 at his home in Radford. He was a member of Grove United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Hercules, with 33 years of service.

Survivors include his wife Johanna C. Vest; son and daughter-in-law, John E. “Jack” and Nancy E. Vest, of Sand Springs, Okla.; two granddaughters, Nancy Elizabeth Vest and Robin Diana Vest and her husband, Brian Coleman; great-grandson, Alexander John Coleman, all of Brooklyn, N.Y.; niece, Margaret N. Schott, of Chester, Va.; and nephew, John Eccleston, of Hampstead, Md.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at 11 a.m., at Grove United Methodist Church in Radford, with the Rev. Karen Lane officiating. Burial will be private.

A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the service. Memorial gifts may be made to Grove United Methodist Church, 1020 Tyler Avenue, Radford, VA 24141.
