Vest, Irvin Wayne

Irvin Wayne Vest, 86 of Roanoke, formerly of Floyd County, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Louella Vest.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Corrine Peters Vest; twin daughters, Darlene Vest of Roanoke and Charlene and husband Daniel Hayth of Troutville; one grandson Justin and wife Erica Hayth of Roanoke; one great granddaughter, Skyler Hayth; one brother, Billy Vest of Radford.

He served in the Army in the Korean War. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, gardening and working on his farm.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2016 at Maberry Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Turpin officiating with interment in the Vest Cemetery with Military Rites by the Army National Guard.

Family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., prior to the service.
