Vaughn, Mary Frances French
Mary Frances French Vaughn, 80 of Narrows, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 20th, 2014.
She was born in Bland County, Virginia on July 23rd, 1933, and was the daughter of the late Walter Carl and Sallie Belle Hager French. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Lewis Hale Vaughn; a son, Terry Edwin Vaughn; a grandson, Timothy Marshall (T.J.) Vaughn, Jr.; and several brothers and sisters.
Mary was a longtime faithful member of Cedar Grove Church of Christ. She enjoyed many days sitting on her back porch, watching the birds. A loving and sacrificing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Becky Vaughn Oxley and husband Danny of Narrows; two sons, Timothy Marshall Vaughn of Narrows, and Teddy Raye Vaughn and wife Debbie of Pearisburg; six grandchildren, Eric Conley, Tina Conley, Skip Vaughn, Kayla Vaughn, Dakota Vaughn, and Jacob Vaughn; four great-grandchildren, Taylor Conley, Cameron Spicer, Kira Ward, and Kaine Ward; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 24th, 2014 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Harold Goins, Minister, and Jack Jones, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows Friday from 6 to 8 PM.
