Vaughan, Susan Lawson

Susan Adele Lawson Vaughan, 60, of Pulaski, Va., died on Sunday, December 20, 2009, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in WinstonSalem, N.C. She was born on February 2, 1949, in Harrisonburg, Va., and is the daughter of Alton Wayne Lawson and the late Bernice Turk Lawson.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pulaski.

She was preceded in death by her mother; and a brother, Steven W. Lawson. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Ronald O. Vaughan, of Pulaski; three sons, Erik N. Vaughan, of Clemmons, N.C., Brian D. Vaughan, of Staunton, and Dr. Mark A. Vaughan, of Midlothian; a daughter, Courtney P. Harris, of Panama City, Fla.; and her father, Alton W. Lawson, of Harrisonburg. She is also survived by three daughters-in-law; one son-in law; and three grandchildren.

A private funeral service was held 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at Seagle Funeral Home.
