Vaughan, Ralph A.
Ralph A. Vaughan, a life-long resident of Radford, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. He was eighty-six years old. Ralph was born on August 29, 1931 to the late Carlos Columbus and Minnie Belle Alderman Vaughn. He was preceded in death by his two brothers; and three sisters.
Ralph graduated from Radford High School in 1948 and served in the United States Navy. He owned and operated a local automotive body shop and wrecker service for over fifty years.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Akers Vaughan; a son, Ralph A. “Buck” Vaughan Jr.; two daughters, Kathy Yoho (and husband, Chuck) and Debbie Kay (and husband, Douglas); nine grandsons; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday January 26, 2018 at DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at DeVilbiss Funeral Home Chapel in Radford. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Christiansburg. DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford is in charge of arrangements.

Ralph was a great landlord. He was a go getter. Awesome friend. He will be missed.
