Vanscoy, Jason Brown

Jason Brown Vanscoy, age 49, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021, at his home in Peterstown, WV. Born December 28, 1971, in Milton, FL, he was the son of Roy K. Vanscoy, Jr. of Peterstown, WV, and the late Donna Jean Lott Vanscoy.

Jason was a member of the Peterstown Christian Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a supporter of our Veterans. He loved his family, especially his niece and nephews. As sick as Jason was, he would never complain about anything. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother, Jason was preceded in death by one sister, Susan Stewart; paternal and maternal grandparents; and several aunts and uncles. In addition to his father, survivors include two brothers. Marshall Vanscoy and wife Anna of Cashmere, WV, and Cody Stewart of Washington, DC; niece, Jaimi Ridgeway and husband Brett of Camp Lejeune, NC; and two nephews, Marshall Vanscoy Jr. and Adam Vanscoy, both of Cashmere, WV.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Minister Don Henegar officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
