Vanhoozier, Ralph Lee
Ralph Lee Vanhoozier, age 63, of Christiansburg died Sunday, August 11, 2013 at his home. He was born in Montgomery County, VA on March 11, 1950 to the late Edward Lee and Katherine Bowers Vanhoozier and was also predeceased in death by his brother Edward Earl Vanhoozier.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Vanhoozier of Christiansburg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Hank Newhouse of Elliston, Adria and Jacob Lambert of Newport News; one granddaughter, Morgan Newhouse of Elliston; two sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Tuck Barlow of Roanoke, Helen Moses of Christiansburg; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James “Butch” and Linda Vanhoozier of Radford, David Vanhoozier of Christiansburg, Michael and Melissa Vanhoozier of Newport and Janice Vanhoozier of Riner. Ralph is also survived by his mother-in-law, Beatrice Light of Christiansburg; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rose and Dr. James Stone, III of Wytheville, Judy Lafon of Pulaski County, Dewey “Sonny” Light and Steve Light both of Christiansburg; Michael and Karen Light of Winston Salem, NC; numerous nieces, nephews and several dearly loved friends. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Olen Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. Friends may call any time after 12:00 noon Tuesday and the family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Tuesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
