Vanhoozier, Lois Jean Haley

Lois Jean Haley Vanhoozier passed away peacefully Saturday November 20, 2010 at her home with her husband and family by her bedside. She was born December 26, 1931 in Pulaski, Va. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1950, married James Clyde Vanhoozier on September 4, 1953, and was a devoted homemaker and mother of three daughters. She was preceded in death by her parents Forest W. and Virgie S. Haley. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years James Clyde Vanhoozier, three daughters and sons-in-law; Gaile and Terry Doyle, Janice and Dan Cheverton, Karen and Curtis Porter. Two grandsons Jon Doyle, Matt Doyle and special friend Wendy Smith. Step grandson Jonathan Cheverton and wife Mary. Two precious great granddaughters Daisy and Journey Doyle. Also many other cherished relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 23, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with Mr. Bobby Sylvia and Mr. Steve Marshall officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visiting will be Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the many friends for their prayers, cards, letters, flowers, visits and food during her illness. Special thanks to Cecil and Tina King, Steve Marshall and Bobby Sylvia.
