Van Dyke, Ronald A.

Ronald A. Van Dyke, 69, of Christiansburg, died on Friday, July 6, 2012.

He was a 21 year veteran of the U.S. Army, serving two terms in Vietnam, After his military service, he worked more than ten years for Carilion St. Albans Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Van Dyke; two sons, Randy and Darren Van Dyke; one grandson, Andrew Van Dyke; one sister, Chris Meyer, of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; and two brothers, Ed Van Dyke, of Sunbury, Ohio and Douglas Van Dyke of Hudson, Wis.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Horne Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery.
