Ruby Underwood, 86, of Christiansburg, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011. The daughter of the late James H. and Ethel Richardson Underwood she is survived by a sister, Katie Kingrea; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Eilleen Underwood; nephews, Joe Underwood, James Underwood, Randy Underwood, Jimmy Kingrea, David Underwood and Jeff Underwood; nieces, Connie Kingrea and Linda Underwood; her special friend, Ruth and her family. The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to Heritage Hall Nursing Home and staff. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in the Chapel of Horne Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Buford Linkous with interment to follow in Sunset Cemetery.
