Underwood, Eilleen Lovern

A beautiful soul, Eilleen Lovern Underwood, 78, of Shawsville, was laid to rest on August 25, 2016. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Holmes; parents, Luther and Ora Smith Lovern; sisters, Peggy and Gilbie; and brothers, Norman, William, and Junior Lovern.

Eilleen is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Frank Underwood; son, Randy Underwood and wife Kitty; twin grandsons, Eric Holmes and Alex Holmes; grandsons, Joey Hinkley, and Tim Hinkley; great-grandchildren, Madison Holmes, Jerimiah Holmes, Brayden Hinkley, Sydney Hinkley, Easton Hinkley, and Payton Hinkley; sister, Lorraine St.Clair; her little baby, Coco; as well as a host of other family and friends who all sadly miss her.

Eilleen worked at Meadowbrook Nursing Home, as a Dietary Manager at Brookmeade Nursing Home, and Wades Grocery Store in the kitchen for many years.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 28, 2016, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Virgil McHone officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
