Underwood, Cecil Edward

Cecil Edward Underwood, age 86, of Blacksburg died Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Comfort Care Senior Home. He was born in Floyd County, VA on December 10, 1931 to the late Noah J. and Edna Mae Underwood. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Eugene Underwood. Cecil attended the First Church of God in Christiansburg.

He is survived by his wife, Belle Underwood; daughter, Mary Ann Harris; sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph Eugene Underwood, Bruce Edward and Sheila Underwood, Wayne Eric and Lisa Underwood; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Naomi Rowland; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Virginia Underwood, Tommy and Lori Underwood; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lance Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
