Twine, Clara Mae

Clara Mae Twine, 81, Elliston, Va., was called to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 4,2015. She was preceded in death by her father, Peach Ferguson; mother, Juanita Ratcliff; her loving husband of 57 years, Charles Twine, Sr.; and brothers Robert and Walter Ferguson.

Survivors include her children, Rev. Glendora (Eddie) Dalton, Charlotte, N.C., Rev. Vivian (Toby) Simmons, Elliston VA, Pretrena (Larry Sr.) Christiansburg, Va., Pastor Charles, Jr. (Melissa) Twine, Dublin, Va., Alfonso “Donnie” (Julia) Twine, Salem, Va., and Pastor Rolando Twine, Roanoke, Va.; brothers, William and Jimmy Ferguson; sisters, Diane Ferguson, Rebecca Jones, Janice Ferguson, Bella Ferguson and Mary Ann Ferguson; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and large host of family and friends.

Homegoing service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Elliston, Va., Pastor Paul Andrews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Elliston.

Mrs. Twine is entrusted to Valley Funeral Services and Cremation.
