Turpin Jr., Robert Lee

Robert Lee Turpin Jr., 34, of Radford, Va., died on Sunday, October 12, 2008. Surviving are his wife, Laura L. Turpin, of Allisonia; one son, Robert Russell Turpin, of Allisonia; his parents, Robert L. Turpin Sr., of Roanoke; his mother, Ruby S. Lucado; three sisters, Melissa Turin, of Christiansburg, Martha Edwards, of Dublin, and Amanda Hopkins, of Radford. Also surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Barbara and James Reddens, of Pilot; his best friend and companion, Cheyenne; and best friends, Chad and Misty Johnson, of Radford.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2008, at the Lighthouse Family Ministries Church, Riner, with the Rev. Buford Linkous officiating. Interment will follow in the Turpin Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made to the DeVilbiss Funeral Home, 1200 Grove Ave., Radford, Va. 24141, to help defray funeral home costs. DeVilbiss Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
